    Network connections.

    Hidden text

    1. ME glass cable.

      Hidden text

The simplest cable has only 8 channels.
Can have 17 different colors(changeable and can be dyed with any of 16 colors)

    2. ME closed cable.

      Hidden text

Has no advantages over conventional glass cable.

    3. ME smart cable.

      Hidden text

Although similar in appearance to a closed cable, they provide a diagnostic function by visualizing the use of channels on the cables. Channels appear as bright colored lines that run along the black stripe on the cables, giving you an idea of how your channels are performing.

The first 4 channels are displayed as lines corresponding to the cable color.
The next four channels are displayed as white lines.

    4. ME dense cable.

      Hidden text

Similar to a smart cable, but can carry up to 32 channels.
However, buses cannot be connected to it. To connect the buses, you must first move from dense to smaller cable (glass/closed/smart).

    5. ME switching bus and ME-inverted switching bus.

      Hidden text

A bus that works similar to ME glass cable, but allows you to switch its state through redstone.
This allows you to cut off part of the ME network.
The usual switching bus turns on the cable when a signal is applied, while the inverted one turns it off.

    Functional devices.

    Hidden text

    1. Extermination Plane
      To her needed channel.

      Hidden text

The destruction plane is needed to destroy any block placed in front of it.
Broken items will be automatically saved to the ME network when space becomes available.

    2. Formation plane.
      To her needed channel.

      Hidden text

The formation plane is needed to install/throw out blocks or objects.
The interface is similar to the storage bus interface.
There is a priority and placement mode (throwing out or installing blocks).

    3. Export bus.
      To her needed channel.

      Hidden text

The export bus pulls items from the ME network storage and places them in the inventories of the blocks it is connected to.
You have to customize what items it will put in, otherwise it won't work.
      Improvements:

      1. Capacity map.
It increases the capacity of the export bus
It opens a new setting on the left (Scheduling mode).
        It has three modes:
        1) Export the first item until the network is empty, then try the next ones.
This mode means that the item will be exported to the inventory until it runs out online. Then she will move on to another.
        2) Export using round bin mode.
This mode means that items will be exported in order (1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9-1-2...).
        3) Export items in random mode.
This mode means that items will be exported randomly.
      2. Fuzzy map.
      3. Creation map.
It opens a new setting on the left (Creation Mode).
        It has two modes:
        1) Do not use stored items, only create during export.
        2) Use stored items or create items during export.
If there is a shortage of an item online, the export bus itself will order it in order to submit it.
      4. Redstone map.

        1. Always active

      5. Acceleration map.
    4. Import bus.
      To her needed channel.

      Hidden text

Retrieves items from the inventory to which it is connected and places them in the network storage of the ME network.
You can specify which items she will pull out through the interface, otherwise she will pull out any item from the inventory.

      Improvements:

        Capacity map.
It increases the import bus inventory capacity.

        Redstone map.
Allows you to configure the bus operation relative to the red signal:
        1. Always active
        2. Active with a signal - will work as long as there is a signal.
        3. Active once per impulse - if you give a signal, it will give only one object.
To give the next one, you need to give the signal again.

      1. Fuzzy map.
Allows you to export items with different durability (you can set the mode on the left).
      2. Acceleration map.

    5. Interface.
      To him needed channel.

      Hidden text

The ME interface is the only device that can be used as a block or bus.
The block shape allows you to connect several blocks to the interface for automatic crafting.
The shape of the bus allows several side-facing interfaces to fit into one block.

You can configure the ME interface to retrieve items from the ME network.

The interface usually functions as a chest, however, with one exception, if you place another network's storage bus on the ME interface - you can access all items from the network.
In addition to this mode, if you configure your interface to explicitly provide specific materials - the storage bus will behave as if the interface was a regular chest, disabling this advanced feature.

      Improvements:
      Creation map.
With the ME crafting card inserted, the interface will be able to request autocrafting for customized items. This requires that the network to which the interface is connected has crafting templates that allow the creation of these items and an available processor with sufficient memory.

      ME interface interface:

      1. Blocking mode.
        It has only two settings:
        1. Ignoring the contents of the target inventory.
The interface will fill the target inventory completely.
        2. Do not push crafting items if the inventory contains items.
That is, if there are items in the inventory to which the interface is connected, it will not supply items for crafting.
      2. Interface terminal.
        It has only two settings:
Hide or show interfaces in the terminal.
      3. Priority setting.
      4. Upgrade slot.
      5. Setting up the blocks that need to be placed in the internal interface inventory.
      6. Internal interface inventory
      7. Crafting Template Inventory
    6. ME level emitter.
      To him needed channel.

      Hidden text

The ME level emitter emits a signal if the total number of items or the number of a specified item is >= or< заданного числа(это можно настроить).
      Improvements:

      1. Fuzzy map
Allows you to count items with different metadata as one.
      2. Creation Map
Completely disables all level emitter functions and adds one setting:
        Creation emitter mode.
        It has only two modes:
        1. Emit a redstone signal when creating an item.
Will emit a redstone signal if the item is crafted.
        2. Emit a redstone signal to create an item

    Other.

    Hidden text

    1. Point-to-point tunnel.
      To him needed channel.

      Hidden text

Point-to-point tunnels are a universal, configurable system for moving items/redstone/energy/fluids from one location to another through an existing ME network without storing them there.

Tunnels have one entrance and N exits. This means you can output as many points as you want, but only one input per tunnel.

The network can support any number of tunnels, of any type. And they all function independently.

Tunnels can be used to carry channels from one location to another, and can support up to 32 channels, just like dense cable. This requires only one channel per point-to-point, which is a very powerful tool for expanding ME networks.

However, with the great flexibility they give you there is a limitation, a p2p tunnel's channel cannot be carried by another p2p tunnel, meaning that you cannot nest them recursively.

To set up a point-to-point tunnel, you must first set up the tunnel to carry what you need (more on that later).
Then press SHIFT+RMB on the input point-point with the memory card to save it. Then simply right-click on the different outputs. This also sets the output type to match the input type.

Tunnels can be customized by right-clicking on them with different types of items:

      • ME interface
      • ME export bus
      • ME import bus

      Fluid Tunnels - Dark Blue

      • Buckets
      • Any liquid containers
      • Liquid pipes from BuildCraft

      Light tunnel - white

      • Torch
      • Glowstone Block

      Redstone Tunnel - Red

      • Red dust
      • Repeater
      • Comparator

      RF tunnel - light gray

      • Ender IO cables and drives
      • Energy pipes and generators from Extra Utilities
      • Pipes from Thermal Dynamics
      • Cells from Thermal Expansion
      • Engines from BuildCraft

      EU tunnel - light blue

      • Any cable from IC2

And energy tunnels consume 5% of the transmitted energy.
      Take this into account!

    2. I/O port.
      To him needed channel.

      Hidden text

This block allows you to transfer items from your cells to the ME network or vice versa.
You can speed it up with acceleration cards.

    3. Wireless access point.
      To him needed channel.

      Hidden text

Allows you to make wireless access through a wireless terminal. The range and power consumption are determined depending on the number of wireless extenders installed in the wireless access point.

The network can have any number of ME wireless access points with any number of wireless amplifiers in each, which allows you to optimize power consumption and range by changing the settings.

    4. Security terminal
      To him needed channel.

      Hidden text

Allows you to configure user rights on your ME network.

The security system does not prevent the destruction or removal of cables/machines.

The player who hosts the ME security terminal has full control over the network and does not need a biometric card.
By adding an empty biometric card you define the default behavior for each player who does not have a registered biometric card.

To add a player to the security terminal, use a biometric card.
Right-click it on another player (Shift+RMB for yours) to create a map.
Then put it in the editor inside the security terminal to grant permissions.

After setting the rights, put it in the inventory of the security terminal.

In addition to increased security, you can connect the wireless terminal to the network and access it wirelessly.

Good afternoon, dear players, you all have a Me network (well, anyone familiar with the Applied Energistics 2 mod has a Me network) and every time you go to your Me network to take things from Me, today I want to show you how you can: Put, Pick up, Create at a certain distance, your Me Network.
So let's start with what we need to do:

    1. ME security terminal
    2. Biometric card
    3. Me wireless access point
    4. Wireless terminal
    5. Wireless amplifier
I want to talk a little about these things -

ME security terminal - allows you to configure user rights in the ME System.

Biometric Card - Encodes the player's identity onto the card for use in the ME Security Terminal.

Me wireless access point - Possibility of wireless access through the Wireless Terminal.

Wireless terminal - provides access to the ME Network over a certain distance (which depends on the Wireless Amplifiers)

Wireless amplifier - the more such amplifiers (a maximum of 64 amplifiers can be installed and the operating radius will be 528 blocks) the wireless access point costs in ME, the further the ME works, but the more energy is consumed (24 amplifiers are enough for as many as 133 blocks)
After we have done everything necessary, we begin to create our Wireless Me Network.
If you don’t have a ME network yet, I’ll show you my maximum ME network (and I’m reminding you of the maximum ME network - 7 by 7 by 7) -

    1. We install the ME security terminal (on the ME controller) like this -

    2. We take a biometric card and if we want to add ourselves to a private party, then we hold the card in our hands and right-click on the floor, and if it’s a friend, then right-click on it. I'll show you how I added myself -

    3. 1) Place the biometric card in the ME security terminal; 2) choose if this is a friend, what functions he can do -

    4. Set up the wireless access point (put it on the shift) like this -

    5. If desired, we put any number of wireless access points in the ME up to 64 pieces of Wireless Amplifier (I recommend up to 24 pieces is quite normal) like this -

    6. Open the Me security terminal and in the right corner put the Wireless terminal something like this -

    7. Not even a second has passed since the Wireless Terminal has already been scanned and you can already pick it up -

    8. (If your Wireless Terminal is not charged, charge it in any energy storage for example: MFEH, MFE and so on) We take the Wireless Terminal in our hand and open it (who doesn’t know to open PKM) and our wireless ME network is ready, in the left corner there are such functions:
    1. Sorting things by. (and you choose)
    2. View. (and you choose)
    3. Sorting order. (and you choose)
    4. Search field mode. (and you choose)
    5. Term style. (and you choose)

Well, our Wireless ME system is ready, I will be glad if I helped you.

This mod is part of the technical servers. Some see it only as endless storage, some as automation of some processes. I see it as free access to creativity. Let's get started

The mod slightly changes the generation of the world, adding only one new type of ore: strong quartz ore. It is this that is the main material for all crafts in this mod.

The first thing we need to understand is that mod-based automation is based on ME systems. Her heart is ME controller. It is to it that power is supplied to operate the entire system. Energy can be taken from any mod that can produce it.

All other units of the system can receive power if they are installed close to the AE units or AE wires

To store information (objects in the system), you need memory cards of various sizes (maximum 64kb). The items in them have no stack limit, and one card can accommodate 63 types of resources

Read card data using ME drive, or ME chest. Items located on the card inserted into the chest are displayed immediately in the chest interface. Items in the drive are not displayed.

To view the contents of the cards placed in the drive, you need to craft ME terminal access and connect it to the system. Likewise, if you connect wireless access point to the network, craft wireless access point, then you can safely open our terminal without going near it. The range of our wireless access point reaches 32 blocks, if you set the maximum number signal amplifiers

You can display the amount of resource content on the display using ME monitor

    2) Automation (beginning)

As mentioned earlier, the mod allows you to automate everything. It’s more logical to start with automation of resource processing

Let's look at resource processing using the crusher from IC2 as an example. Let's make it automatically request ores from the system, and send dust to the system. For this we need export bus(sends the resource to the engine) and import(sends the resource to the system)

IN export bus we set exactly what resources should be sent to the mechanism, how many (1 or stack), create an item if it is not in the system or not, and under what conditions (with or without a red stone signal). It works the same way import bus, but if we leave the slots in it empty, then absolutely all things will be taken from the mechanism/chest. This way we can quickly automate the processing of resources from the mine

    3) Advanced automation

In addition to simple automation, you can make it advanced. For this we need ME crafting template And ME template encoder.

Let's try to make resource processing flexible. I wanted to split up a resource, I told the system about it, it split it up.

Let's place sample in our encoder, we’ll post the craft we want and the result of the craft. For example, if we want to crush iron ore, we will put it on the left side of the craft, and put 2 iron dust at the exit, and also press the encoding button. As a result, we get a ready-made template that needs to be placed in the ME interface, which we will place instead exporting tires. Now, we can process resources from the system to order. This method of processing resources is also convenient for further crafting.

But our task is to automate the production of things for your needs. For this we need Assembly shop. Assembly shop is a multi-block structure with a minimum size of 3x3x3. Its edges should consist of assembly shop buildings, walls made of heat dissipating elements, and the inner part must be filled template providers(defines the number of recipes that the system can remember), or assembly processes(responsible for system performance).

Let's lay out the crafting of the workbench and throw it into our workshop. Now our system can craft workbenches (useful)

In this way, you can post any craft, and when you drop the desired item into the system, it will be crafted (if the system has the necessary resources), if they are not, the system begins to search for the necessary solutions and request all storage facilities and mechanisms it controls for the possibility of creating resources. This is clearly visible in the assembly monitor

    4) Utilities

ME I/O port. If a card with resources is placed in this module, the resources from it will be entered into the system, with the ability to save things and dump identical resources into one slot

Precision tires move resources from the system, or into the system, taking into account the ending of the item ID, for example, if you put a whole pickaxe into it, it will only interact with new pickaxes, ignoring damaged ones

Interactive buses do not look at the endings of the ID and calmly interact with damaged pickaxes if a regular pickaxe is inserted into it

ME signal emitter— Emits a redstone signal if a certain type of resource reaches a certain level in the system. Useful in automation, when interacting with buses

Take the generator into the mine, ME chest and any card. When your inventory is full, place the chest close to the generator, place the map in the chest, discard your clothes and continue on your way

By using ME interface And tires you can automate your store

ME system can interact with any mechanism, and multi-block structure, from any mod, similar to BC pipes.

Definition: Unlike access point mode, wireless client mode is used to connect to a wireless access point/router that operates in access point mode, but you will not be able to connect to the device any other wireless device that operates as a wireless access point client via wireless connection.

Here we will look at the TL - WA 701 ND as an example. Below are the details of your wireless router/root access point:

    LAN IP: 192.168.1.1

    Encryption type: WPA 2-PSK, AES

    Passphrase: tplinktest

Step 1 Connect the TL - WA 701 ND to your computer using a cable and configure a static IP on your computer (like DHCP on the access point - disabled)

Step 2 Enter 192.168.1.254 into your web browser, then go to the web-based access point configuration utility. (If you can't log into the web-based setup utility, please reset the access point and follow the instructions to check your computer's IP address)

Step 3 Set the access point to wireless client mode and complete the wireless security settings.

    1. Click Wireless -> Wireless Settings on the left, select Client. Click the Survey button to view available wireless networks, then click Connect.

    2. After you click Connect, your wireless network SSID and access point MAC address will appear in the field automatically. Click Save to save your settings.

If the wireless router or access point you want to connect does not support WDS, do not enable the WDS option.

If you know the SSID of the wireless network or the MAC address of the root access point, you can manually enter them in the corresponding field and click Save.

    3. Select Wireless Security on the left side of the menu, enter the same wireless security settings as your root access point.

    4. Go to System Tools -> Reboot in the left menu, click the Reboot button, after the device reboots, all settings will take effect.

Step 4 Check if the device has successfully entered client mode.

Note: There are two ways to check.

    a) Check via the access point setup page:

Enter System Tools (System Tools->Diagnostic), try to ping 192.168.1.1 (the IP address of the root access point). The setup is successful if you get the following diagnostic results:

    b) Check via computer, Run - cmd -> ping 192.168.1.1:

Step 5 Change your computer's local network connection settings to “obtain IP address automatically” and “obtain DNS server automatically”.

If your home network is other than 192.168.1. X(0

254), for example, your router/root access point's LAN IP address is 192.168.2.1, after you complete Step 3, the access point's LAN IP address is 192.168.2.254, and configure your computer's IP address to 192.168.2.150, so that they are on the same subnet.

Are you tired of running to the terminal every time to get the right thing? No problem. In this guide I will talk in detail about the wireless signal.
To create a signal you will need: 1xWireless terminal (4319) ; 1xWireless access point (245), 1xSecurity terminal (248) and ME network, respectively.
We connect everything in a similar way:

Next, to connect the wireless terminal to your network, you need to go to the security terminal. Place the Wireless Terminal in the top right slot as shown in the screenshot below:

Done, your terminal is connected to your network. But there is one problem... If you play with friends, they will not be able to use the ME network until you give them permission. To do this you will need a Biometric Card (4320). First you will have to tag a player with it. To do this, right-click on the player. We put it in the biometric card editor and set the permissions you need.

After setting the permissions, you should place the card in the top slots as shown in the screenshot below:

Done, the wireless network is configured, and protection of your network has been added in case one of its parts is not private, this will prevent other players from connecting and interacting with your network. To increase the signal range you will need signal amplifiers (4340:42), place them in a wireless access point, but the more there are, the more energy your network will consume.

Have you reached the heights of technological power with Industrial Craft 2, Build Craft and RedPower mods, but still have to use inconvenient storage and crafting systems with huge and complex pipelines? With the Applied Energistics mod you will get rid of the boring routine of crafting, digging in chests, manually carrying processed ores and more.

Applied Energistics is a mod for Minecraft that adds new basic tools, power tools, and an advanced storage system called the ME Network, which allows you to store a huge amount of items in a compact manner.

    ME Network capabilities provide:

    • simple but reliable automation tools, compatible with objects from other mods;
    • includes a system that allows you to create and use automatic crafting systems;
    • ways to connect storage from other mods and the vanilla game;
    • allows you to display stored items and manage them through redstone;
    • alternative ways to configure redstone signals;
    • provides wireless access to your Network;
    • and much more.

    Ores and simple tools

The mod adds quartz ore to world generation, which may drop quartz crystal and dust when mined. Quartz ore can be found at a height of 64-18 blocks in the normal world with 1-4 blocks of ore per vein. Quartz is used when crafting cars and wires from the mod. Crystals can also be used to craft a set of tools.

All tools are similar to iron ones and provide a good alternative when you are low on iron. The key is used to rotate and adjust the machines. You can use a key from BuildCraft if you have one.

The quartz whetstone is used in the initial stages of the game; it allows you to obtain quartz powder from crystals, as well as iron and gold powder from ores and flour from wheat. When used, it doubles the mined ores, flour can be fried in the oven and bread can be made from two units of wheat, instead of three.

    Electrical tools

The mod adds two tools that allow you to influence blocks. The vibration catalyst melts any block without mining it; if the result of melting is an object, then the block will drop. The entropy accelerator works exactly the opposite, freezing water and turning rock and lava into cobblestone and obsidian.

    Crafting parts

Quartz fiber is the basis for crafting ME Cable.

ME Processors are required to craft almost all machines in Applied Energistics. If you have the BuildCraft mod, instead of processors, redstone and diamond chips will be used, created using an assembly table from BuildCraft.

ME Memory Cells are used to craft ME Memory Cards, which will contain information about stored items.

The ME Conversion Matrix is used in crafting items that convert matter into energy and back.

The wireless transmitter is used in crafting wireless terminals and access points.

ME Wireless Amplifier is used to increase the range of ME Wireless Access Points

    Cables and buses

ME Cables are a reliable transport system for the ME Network; they can connect to any devices and buses nearby. Can be painted and connected only to unpainted cable. Colored cables connected to the device color the display in its own color.

ME Dark cable works like a switch and is useful for disconnecting unnecessary sections of the network.

The ME Emitter emits a signal depending on the amount of the specified item in the ME Network.

The ME Import Bus takes items from the connected inventory and imports them into the ME Network. Items and their quantities can be configured in the device interface. Can import items either one at a time or in stacks.

The ME Export Bus exports items from the ME Network to the connected inventory. To work, you need to indicate which items should be exported.

The ME Storage Bus allows you to adapt any container from the vanilla game or mods to interact with the ME Network. It has an interface with which you can configure allowed items for storage in the container.

    ME Network Elements

The center of your network, the ME Controller is the power supply for the network and ensures the operation of all elements. It is recommended not to install two controllers for the same network. Requires 6 energy units/tick to operate, can be powered by energy from IndustrialCraft2 (2 energy units per UE) or from BuildCraft (5 energy units per MJ). In its interface it displays the energy consumption of each element of the ME Network and the total energy consumption in energy units.

The ME Access Terminal gives you access to all items and crafting recipes online. You can change the sorting mode: alphabetically, by number of items, priority.

The ME Crafting Terminal gives you access to the ME Network and allows you to craft using items from the network.

ME Memory Cards store information about items that can be placed and removed from the card using the ME Chest, ME Drive and ME IO Port. There are four types of cards, 1MB, 4MB, 16MB and 64MB. The capacity of the cards is quite large, for example, 520,192 pieces can be placed on a 64 MB card. any item of the same type. A large number of types of items takes up more space on the map, so it is more profitable to set the types of stored items using the ME Preformator.

ME Preformator allows you to name memory cards and determine what items will be stored on it. It is not part of the ME Network and does not need access to it.

ME Chest is the simplest way to use ME Memory Cards, it will give you direct access to the contents of the card. When you place a card in a chest it will change the color of the indicator. Red - there is no room for anything, green - there is room for objects and their types, orange - there is no room for types, but there is room for objects, if there is no energy, then the indicator is turned off.

The ME Drive is designed to store memory cards and can hold ten cards of any size. Access to cards in the ME Drive can only be provided by the ME Access Terminal and ME Crafting Terminal.

The ME IO Port allows you to quickly move items from the ME Memory Card to the network and back. Has an interface for setting the data movement mode.

ME Storage Monitor shows the quantity of a certain item in the ME Network. RMB with any object on the monitor will set the appearance of the displayed object. Shift+RMB using the key will lock the monitor and will not allow it to be updated. Shift+RMB with ME Conversion Matrix will install it in the monitor and allow you to remove the stack of the displayed item when pressing RMB.

ME Interface allows you to interact with pipes and machines from other mods. You can configure the export and import of certain items from the ME Network into the interface and vice versa for use by machines from other mods.

ME Wireless Access Point allows you to use an ME Wireless Access Terminal to connect to your network. It has a standard radius of 16 blocks, which can be expanded with the help of ME Wireless Amplifiers, which will increase the radius by another 16 blocks in total.

ME Wireless access terminal is similar to a fixed terminal. To use, you must put it into the ME Controller to define the network. Only one network can be recognized by the terminal; to work with another network, the wireless terminal must be reprogrammed in the controller.

    Crafting system

ME An empty template on which you can write down any crafting recipe.

The ME Template Editor is used to write a recipe onto a blank template, which can subsequently be placed in the ME Molecular Fusion Chamber or ME Interface for auto-crafting an item upon request. You can overwrite templates. The Template Editor is not part of the ME Network and does not need to be connected to it.

ME Crafting Monitor allows you to view current crafting tasks, their status and gives you the opportunity to disable running tasks.

The ME Molecular Fusion Chamber serves as a crafting center and contains templates with recipes. To work, you must be connected to the ME Network.

Consists of four types of blocks:

    • The corners are built from the ME Walls of the chamber.
    • All walls of the chamber consist of ME Heat Sink.
    • ME Template Storage is used to store templates. One storage block holds one page of templates (how many?) and is located inside the camera.
    • The ME Crafting Processor speeds up the crafting process by adding one additional operation every three ticks.

As a result, you can end up with a camera of any size, from 3x3 blocks to infinity. But do not forget that the larger the camera, the more energy it will consume.
